CHRIS BLACKWELL AT THE BEATRICE

Founder of Island Records and record producer, Chris Blackwell, is a legend in his own right. Growing up in Jamaica then later moving to England for school, he forged the careers of Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Grace Jones, Cat Stevens, Jethro Tull, U2, Nick Drake and many more. He talks with O'Brien about how the Jamaican music scene changed in the 60s and how he built the incredible empire that is Island Records.
